Trump, the stable genius, doesn't appear to realize or care that the longer his tariff war continues, the more likely that former allied countries will find permanent alternatives to U.S. products and services. That trade is never coming back. But that scenario is likely not part of his "strategy" as it appears he only wants submission.

At some point, an adult in the White House will have to figure out how to end this madness and craft it as a win to satisfy Trump's ego.
