⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ für Susan Buck-Morss, Dialektik des Sehens. Walter Benjamin und das Passagen-Werk. (Gibt's noch bei Suhrkamp, ich habe es mir aus der @stadtbibliothekstuttgart ausgeliehen.

I’m starting to think that this is rooted in both of their admiration for #Benjamin who already in his „romantic“ phase developed a thorough critique of enlightenment philosophy (esp Kant), first from the romantics and then, against romantics, from the baroque that questioned Kants empiricism, but also a model of dialectics that includes a „non-synthesis“ instead of the synthesis as logical and harmonious solution to the thesis-antithesis opposition.

How Walter #Benjamin explained #radio to kids, in the radio (translation in alt). This is such an absolutely wonderful piece, to accommodate a whole media theory in a short dialogue for a children's radio play. And how modern is this approach, centering voice and turning the passive act of listening, as Brecht would have it a bit later, into an active ‘finding your way around’.

Ich meine, das ist #Baudrillard, der schreibt, dass der grundlegende Fehler von #Marx und überhaupt jeder Form von politischer #Ökonomie sei, dass sie dem Kapitalismus bzw. den Kapitalisten eine Rationalität unterstellen, der dieser selbst überhaupt nicht folge bzw. die es grundsätzlich da gar nicht gäbe. (Ich kriegs nicht mehr richtig zusammen.) #Trump2 ist, denke ich, stellarer Beleg für sein Argument.
