#DonTheCon's Treasury Sec Scott #Bessent, said on #ThisWeek that the #StockMarket has recovered nearly all of its losses after the Market plunge in early January, and "The Media called it the worst Market plunge in 100 years. But just 3 weeks later, the Market has recovered almost all of those [self-inflicted] loses, and I never hear the Media calling this The Greatest Recovery in history."

The #DOW didn't recover BECAUSE of his polices, but b/c he WALKED THEM BACK! #Gaslight

Bessent tried to claim the DOW the DOW is rising as a RESULT of Trump's policies, when in fact the reversal is ONLY attributable to him BACKING OFF his tariffs. And in the end, the Market is WELL below where it was when he took office.

The Guardian: "US treasury secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday called on the International Monetary Fund and World Bank to refocus on their core missions of macroeconomic stability and development, claiming they have strayed too far into vanity projects such as climate change that have reduced their effectiveness."

So now we're sure that #Bessent isn't able to connect the dots, not even when they are pointed out to him.

I REMIND EVERYONE, the entire point of this pointless #TradeWar was (supposedly) TO BRING JOBS BACK TO THE UNITED STATES.

If all #DonnieDumbass achieves is to get foreign countries to drop their #tariffs (in exchange for us dropping OURS), then THOSE JOBS AREN'T COMING HERE!

That was the DOMESTIC supply chain.

Now they are about to destroy our #IMPORT supply chain. #Round2

I'm reminded of #Dubya invading #Iraq after ignoring the threat that led to 9/11.

It was destruction of the DOMESTIC Supply Chain that crashed the economy. IMPORTS SAVED US. Moving manufacturing to the U.S. wouldn't save us from another Supply Chain disruption.

IN FACT, putting #tariffs on imported SUPPLIES will do THE EXACT SAME THING! Get ready for ANOTHER Supply Chain crash. 🤦‍♂️
