Just created a pretty neat #automation with #AlfredApp that does the following:
Typing “journal” followed by some text designating an entry title creates a new #DayOne and opens the #DayOneApp to that new entry.

It is… "fascinating" (for lack of a better word) how much of #DonTheCon's policies AND popular support is drawn from #racism.
Think of all the #DayOne promises he made & failed to achieve: Bring prices down, end the war in #Ukraine, retrieve the hostages in #Gaza… etc & so on.
"Round up gang members & terrorists and #deport them" became: going after the low-hanging fruit of UNAdjudicated migrants already in jail & foreign-born protesters on college campuses.
AND THEY DON'T CARE.

It suddenly struck me yesterday that it appears #MafiaDon has suddenly given up on his dream of winning a #NobelPeacePrize.
He said he could/would end the war in #Ukraine on #DayOne only to discover #Putin isn't interested in doing so.
Now he invites a South American dictator into the Oval for a photo-op, and (with a smile) wonders aloud about tossing AMERICAN CITIZENS into foreign torture prisons w/o benefit of #DueProcess.

I heard a lot of Sunday hosts this morning point out how: "T**** promised to bring down prices on #DayOne."
Now he's saying this could be "a two year process".
He certainly wasn't so forgiving of #Biden to restore the economy after T****'s mishandling of the #pandemic destroyed it. #DisasterPresidency
I’m starting to get irrationally (?) angry at apps constantly wanting me to sign in with an account, so they can “back up” “my” data - in this case a journaling app. And it’s always “not now,” instead of “GTFO with that.”

Leaving Automattic's Day One for @obsidian. Pictures below.
If you're currently on #DayOne and also want to leave the drama behind, I have two (soon to be five) scripts I could use a few Beta Testers and Doc writers for. It's still a bit of a slog installing all the plugins needed in Obsidian and doing a manual conversion of your Day One journal(s), but it's not rocket science.
Anytype looks very interesting with p2p synchronization! It might replace multiples of software on my side: Obsidian Hoarder, Dayone, and Reminder. A self-hosted solution is available, too!
Are anyone using this solution?

It's the credo by which all #Republican politicians live by. He didn't.

Moved the final few notebooks away from #DayOne and into a local-first indie competitor called Everlog. Day One has been a great companion, but the move to Automattic may have likely and inadvertently caused a damage to its reputation.
Excited to see #DayOne is making a proper windows application. I’ve been supporting them over the #Apple #Journal mostly out of loyalty (they haven’t given me a reason to leave) but the fact they’re working to make it easily accessible across multiple ecosystems is gonna keep me. Linux support too please
PS: Just found out that #AQuietPlaceDayOne is the prequel to #AQuietPlace (2018) & #AQuietPlace2 (2020), both of which were directed by #JohnKrasinski who acts in them too but not in #DayOne. #EmilyBlunt has a role in those movies too but not in Day One.
#Krasinski is a producer for but does not act in AQuietPlaceDayOne. #Blunt does not appear in it either. Going to take a look at the 2 other films if I can stream the for free somewhere on the Net.
