#FebruARTy here's an altar piece that I made a decade ago, with a #pear shaped inner chamber, lined with mica sparkles and holding a candle to light the way for loving visits from our ancestors in the sky. #DiaDeLaMuerte

#FebruARTy Because I am intrigued with the mysterious iconography of the #Nasca culture in ancient Peru here is another #watercolor study I made of a design I saw on a ceramic bowl for #FishyFeb
One for #FebruArty #Magenta #ArtYear, and the local rockroses are starting to bloom - great to see!
Another stunning must-share by Bree @xobreex3.bsky.social, a wet #peony leaf by me. In German peonies are called pentecost roses

Today's #FebruARTy theme makes me think about my dozens of varied carving knives, and I like to color the handles with #Magenta.
It's Day 24 of #FebruARTy. And it's #ArtYear day, meaning we can choose our own theme. So I'm going way outside the box. Here's a study that I did a couple years ago of an ancient traditional Northwest Coast clan totem which you may not have heard of before. 'Starfish that Raven Tore Up'.
Today's #FebruARTy theme of #socks is kinda thin, I could only find one photo of my street art showing a sock.
For #FebruArty & the #SensoryArt prompt, #StreetArt sometimes gets #Rough
#FebruARTy last year I was doing research in Manhattan museums, because I am intrigued with the mysterious iconography of the Nasca culture in ancient Peru. 1,200 years have elapsed since the last Nascan passed away, so the true meaning is lost, but this iconic Nascan symbol is definitely #FishyFeb
#Februarty, here's a detail of a plaque I made about a decade ago, with a #turquoise theme. The color was achieved with surface applied raw copper metal which then I oxidized in place using my custom acid-salt patination formula.
