Diana belonged to a homeless person. I once passed by and played with her. He was in a wheelchair, and she was on an improvised bed. I thought one of her eyes had a problem because it was smaller than the other. Only later did I realize it was due to a birthmark – one eye had it, and the other didn't. One day, leaving the mall with my wife, he was there again with her. Suddenly, he held her and asked if we wanted her. I hesitated, but my wife didn't. We adopted her because he said he couldn't manage to take care of her anymore. He asked for nothing in return. We received one of the greatest gifts of our lives.

Diana era de um sem-teto. Eu passei uma vez e brinquei com ela. Ele estava em uma cadeira de rodas e ela em uma caminha improvisada. Pensei que um de seus olhos estava com algum problema, pois estava menor que o outro. Só mais tarde percebi que era devido a uma manchinha de nascença que um tinha e o outro não. Um dia, saindo do shopping com minha esposa, ele estava lá de novo com ela. De repente, ele a segurou e perguntou se nós a queríamos. Eu hesitei, mas minha esposa não. Adotamos, pois ele disse que não estava dando conta de cuidar dela. Não pediu nada em troca. Ganhamos um dos maiores presentes de nossas vidas.
