This week's composition is a short three-track instrumental with #microtonal Tele Deluxe with a #justIntonation fretting scheme. The vibe moves from assured to wistful. #originalMusicTracks

@electropict off the top of my head, if your vco has an exponential FM input, you can spread your octave on more keys. Since i’m on my ipad, let me pull up miRack. Yep, i can adjust the attenuator on the fm input to spread 1 octave range over 2 x 12 keys, for 24 notes per octave, for example.
DAY 22 - The Machine Never Sleeps.
More microtonal experiments, this time it's fully microtonal. It's all in a microtonal scale called Orwell[9], a subset of 31edo.
It also samples some stuff from my previous songs, like Ominos' drums.
(god, i really need to upload Ominos one of these days. it's a GOOD song.)
hey hey fediverse!

Really digging this microtonal synthwave piece using a subset of 321edo (it goes up by 25\321 and 12\321, if you're curious). Works really well!
This week's composition on #microtonal #justIntonation Tele Deluxe #guitar Meditative, with an inner faster tempo. Some of these intervals get sparkly. https://streak.club/p/56040/allua-by-onezero

Longform Editions has been a noble, necessary venture for years. They've taken a bow as the people running it are moving on to other pursuits. Last year, they'd put out this compellingly #microtonal release from the always-interesting Jules Reidy: https://julesreidy.bandcamp.com/track/rave-angels

I haven't written any new music this year yet, but I'm still proud of the album I published last year:

Genre - Cheerful Horror? Kitchen instruments? Primodal tunings? Strange new planets? Childish serious?
My 250th Monday-night #ambient #guitar #improv performance is now out. This one's on #microtonal #justIntonation Tele Deluxe partscaster, with some woodwind and electrical-transformer timbres. Some long durations, with consonance augmented by more complex harmonies. $0/name-your-price at https://snwv.bandcamp.com/album/music-at-a-distance-250
After taking last Monday off for travel, tonight (March 3) I'm getting back on the #ambient #guitar #improv #livestream for the 250th installment of the Monday series. This one's...likely to be #microtonal #justIntonation Tele Deluxe. Let's get oscillating. 8-9:30 PM EST (UTC-5). https://twitch.tv/onezeromusic
This week's #composition, on #microtonal #justIntonation Tele Deluxe. There's a gentle, contemplative vibe, which we probably all need for the moment. While I'm ready to make some changes...we'll see when they emerge. This one's interesting in that I'm trying to do fingerpicking on a narrow, densely-fretted neck.

Outkast's Hey Ya in 31TET, at half-speed and ambient? In this video Levi McClain talks about his compositional approach, including some great insights into #Microtonal #MusicTheory.
Personally I'm not too familiar with 31TET, preferring 36 or 53TET, which I mainly use in the context of Turkish makam theory. Even so, his harmony approach sounds perfectly functional to my ears, though if you're not used to #microtonality this probably will sound weird/eerie. #Music
