We have engaged the City Manager.

There was a voltage transformer that caught fire - the function of a voltage transformer is to protect the sub and a fire on this component is not necessarily a crisis - it basically just did what it was supposed to do (in a very dramatic way).

Currently they are busy investigating to see if other components are damaged - thorough test are usually needed in these cases as it can have negative implications if they switch on before properly testing and there was a chance that something else was damaged - this can take time.

If there are no other components damaged, then power will be switched back tomorrow. If tests reveals bigger damage then we will only be able to determine a way forward once we know what that damage is.

For now teams are doing what they should be doing - testing the sub.
