At the Protect Our Parks rally in the San Francisco Presidio - many sentiments I support on the signs
And we finished up with a march to, and speeches at, Fort Mason Great Meadow, up near Beniamino Bufano's Madonna .
The organizers pulled this together in 48hrs. Somewhere over 200 participants, maybe as many as 300. Not bad. Lots of passionate support, the parks are loved for many reasons.
Kudos to the organizers, and esp to the ad hoc speakers , from Junior Ranger Juniper to the high school youth to the old folks - all showing how important our National Parks are to all, for so many reasons. Especially such an accessible park as the Presidio.
And lots of recognition of how important the NPS Rangers are.
