I just received a letter from the #SSA notifying me of a 40% increase in my Social Security benefits beginning March 2025 and the deposit of a lump sum payment for back payments due from Jan 2024- Feb 2025 under the Social Security Fairness Act (#SSFA).

Of course, this doesn't include the roughly the $50k in Social Security benefits that I previously earned but never received between 2015-2025, because my benefits were reduced by the #WindfallEliminatonProvision & #GovermentPensionOffset that reduced my benefits because I received a government pension that was not covered by Social Security, which is the problem that the SSFA was enacted to address.

Something is better than nothing & fortunately whatever #DOGE is doing to f*ck with the SSA didn't affect this increase in my benefits.

I hope that others of you here who were likewise affected have received a similar notice from the SSA.
