I love visiting this calm oasis in the middle of a park in Shanklin. Red squirrels are in abundance here and the wildlife friendly plants around the crazy golf course are so pretty. We've restocked our Craft Cabin (definitely NOT a shed) for the summer season ahead.
Half the menu at the cafe is vegan, so I'm in heaven

The crescent moon over the West Wight last night.
Earthshine gave the appearance of the moon being full. Too dark for a decent landscape shot, but it was too good to miss!

Another slower running month, but I could still give the proverbial butcher’s dog a run for its money!
March has been about taking it easy on my hamstring. I’ve held back from all speedwork, which has meant a drop in overall pace — and in turn, my VO₂ max has slipped from a high of 50 in December to 44.8. That’s to be expected, though.
This afternoon's wander around St Lawrence and the Undercliff was charming, despite the dank weather. It always feels like going back in time around here, even by Isle of Wight standards!
St Lawrence Old Church is incredibly atmospheric and not a place I visit very often.

@ChrisMayLA6 @Christo_459 Even here on the #isleofwight people seem to drive 1/2 a mile to the shops or pub. You would think people would realise a short walk or bike ride is better.
Obviously excepting those who can't walk or are carrying loads etc etc (for the flamers who can't see a bigger picture)
Who doesn’t love the gear acquisition bug?? May have treated myself to a #Linhof Technika to save lugging the heavier thing around for some quicker shots. So far I love it but the lens it came with has a few limitations and some really nice quirks.
Test photos on expired film and it’s come out nice. The Carisbrooke castle photo is on my trusty but heavy AF monorail Toyo. Must. Develop. The. Slide. Film. I keep blaming the delay in processing on needing a million bottles for the chemicals (it’s not cheap, doesn’t keep and mixes in the wrong final amount for me). That’s my excuse, and I’m sticking with it, and it’s nothing to do with a total loss of confidence in myself on that front.
Must remember focussing loupe though. That’s essential.
