All the political developments of the last few years point to this. The oligarchs try to break up supra-national bodies like the #EU and #UN so they don't get a chance to create an international regulatory #tax framework to solve the avoidance & evasion that stops a proper redistribution of their wealth. Putting tax on consumers & working people through tariffs further solidifies #wealthInequality

This post has a link to a speech by the excellent George Monbiot. He explains why we don't have to vote for the lesser of two evils of Labour or the Tories (three evils if you include Reform). The speech lasts just under 11 minutes. If you have the time to spare it is well worth a listen.

Some might think that cuts for the disabled are something which don't impact them as they are not disabled. Cuts to cold weather payments for the elderly don't matter as they are not old. Policies which cause poverty for our children don't matter as their children are not impacted or maybe they don't have kids.

We need a more caring society which is repulsed by targeting the most vulnerable while the rich live in luxury.

Who's next if we say or do nothing?

@stephenwhq @ericschutte Yes, it's easy to blame US citizen's stupidity for this. But the same development is seen in Europe as well. The real reason for this development are unleashed (neoliberal) tech companies who influence the people according to their (neoliberal and now fascist) agenda. Secondly the sheer wealth inequality which makes a tiny fraction of private citizens more powerful than countries. - They often times are not the brightest. #taxtherich #wealthinequality #elonmusk #putin
