#NatureScot could intervene to cull a #Highland estate's red #deer, which are damaging environmentally important peat. The government won't name the absentee owners of #LochChoire Estate in #Sutherland, a #Shropshire-based company. However, because they have a history of non-cooperation I easily found them online. Aerial view of Caer Caradoc in Shropshire (UK), a large multivallate #hillfort built around 2500 years ago.

Caer Caradoc measures approximately 450m by 160m, enclosing an area of around 3ha. Unusually, it also has an ‘engineered terrace’ or causeway leading to the hillfort on the eastern side.

Caer Caradoc is named for a semi-legendary British (Welsh/Cornish/Breton) prince, who may have held the site as part of his territory.
