Mal ne kurze Frage. Wieviele KM legt Ihr pro Jahr so auf den Rädern zurück.
Hintergrund: Laut Statistik fährt der Deutsche pro Jahr ca. 330KM mit seinem E-Bike. D.H. Nach drei Jahre Leasing sind das etwa 1000KM. Verrückt, aber mit #nachhaltigkeit hat das ja Nix zu tun.
Little lunch blast on the newly rebuilt old trek sl1200. It's a nippy little thing! I dunno why I keep tinkering on it though as, despite seat adjusment and a looong stem, it's too small for me! With a cycling buddy, I drove 900km to the small town of Glen Innes for a gravel ride in the Northern Tablelands in a region of northern New South Wales called New England.
I've never been here before and, to be honest, it's a lot like the Southern Highlands which is much closer. It's also very British with lots of Scottish and Welsh references.
The ride was organised by Goodness Gravel and was a much smaller and more personal ride than the Classic series.
We completed the 75km ride in good time and good spirits, despite some strong and relentless headwinds.
We've got a few more days here and are planning some riding/exploring tomorrow.
Bit of much needed tinkering time... years back I bought this slightly too small but light trek sl1200... I then modded the rear mech with a wolftooth to get a bigger range. It had glorious... but slightly sketchy/flexy whr540 wheelset on it... found some r500 cheap and went back tonight to standard 11-28 x3. Oh and garish new tape! #BikeTooter #bikesofmastodon

I drive my lovely bike more than 2 hours a day to commute to work through a dirty city. I'm not cleaning it from top to bottom for you every time I need to get a squeak fixed.

I have been trying to get my 9byear old Tikit repaired/replaced since July.
They don't answer email, eventually return answering service messages

Met this cycling couple from the #Sacramento area today at #SeaOtterClassic. They love to ride, and some of their rides have been multiple sclerosis fundraisers, as his t-shirt attests. They are considering switching to e-bikes later.
Final day of Monterey County's #SeaOtterClassic is Sunday, April 21. It's Family Day, and
up to 2 adults get free admission if attending with a child age 12 or younger.
Children 12 or younger receive free admission too, as every day.

Participants will be fitted with an EEG device and treated to an illustrative demonstration of their brain activity while pedaling.”
@sam When we were able to contribute 21 items to Monterey County Free Libraries branch in Castroville, we asked the branch manager to make the selections, so the new items would best meet patrons' needs. BTW although over 60% of Monterey County is Hispanic/Latino, only 4 of the 21 items are in Spanish. That doesn't reflect a bias of the branch manager; it points to the need for #authors and #publishers to make more #Spanish-language books and other materials about bicycling!

We helped with the first Salinas #BikeParty rides and loved them. Photo is from a 2012 SBP ride.
We've also enjoyed some Santa Cruz #BikeParties.
In Sept 2023 we responded to some #MontereyCounty media reports by writing "Rideout or Rude Out? Make your bike party courteous, safer, legal, and fun."
